The Rainbow Games 2024 is a multi-sports event and will bring 14 sporting disciplines to The Trusts Arena and surrounding areas from 5-11 April 2024, collaborating with inclusive sporting bodies, clubs and associations across New Zealand and beyond.
Celebrating diversity in sexual orientation, sex characteristics and gender identity, our main goal is to provide a safe space for everyone to come together and play sports. These Games are primarily geared towards Rainbow participants, but are open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, age and skill level.
The Opening Ceremony will be followed by six days of fun and social sporting action, where participants have the chance to pick up a sweat while making new friends and engaging with arts, cultural and social activities. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a complete beginner, there is something for everyone. Each sport offers different grades for those with more or less experience in sport.
